In short

A business energy broker finds and negotiates electricity and gas contracts for businesses. On this site, Forever Communications works as an agent of Fidelity Energy, an independent broker that compares a panel of 24+ suppliers (its own figure). Fidelity Energy is normally paid commission by the supplier you choose, and that cost is shown in your contract's principal terms.

How this site works, in plain words

This site is run by Forever Communications, part of Forever Group. Forever Communications works as an agent of Fidelity Energy, an independent business energy broker and consultancy. We are not an energy supplier, and neither is Fidelity Energy.

The roles split like this:

WhoWhat they doWhat they do not do
Forever CommunicationsIntroduces you to Fidelity Energy, helps gather your bills and requirements, helps you understand the quotes, the commission and the contract terms, and can be your point of contactSupply energy, set prices or sign contracts for you
Fidelity EnergyPrices your requirements across its panel of suppliers, arranges the supply contract you choose and manages itSupply energy. Its terms also say it is not your agent and cannot commit you to anything for its switching, price comparison or contract checking services
The supplier you chooseRuns its own checks (usually including a credit check), accepts or declines the contract, then supplies and bills your energyAct as your broker

You decide which quote, if any, to accept. Fidelity Energy's terms and conditions say the supplier and Fidelity Energy can revise or withdraw a quotation, and that accepting one is a binding offer to the supplier. Ofgem also points out that there is no cooling-off period once you agree a business energy contract (see our business energy cooling off period guide), so we would rather you take the time to read the terms than rush a decision.

About Fidelity Energy

Fidelity Energy describes itself as an independent energy consultancy that helps UK businesses buy, manage and reduce their energy, and says it has done so since 2014. It is registered in England and Wales (company number 09258334) and based in Newbury, Berkshire. Its website answers the question "Is Fidelity Energy an energy supplier?" with a plain "No".

How many suppliers? Fidelity Energy says it works with a network of 24+ suppliers. That is its own published figure, and it means your comparison covers Fidelity Energy's panel, not every supplier in the market. Ofgem advises anyone using a comparison service to check which suppliers are included, so we say this plainly rather than leave you to guess.

Dispute resolution. Fidelity Energy is listed on the Energy Ombudsman's register of energy brokers, with membership active since 1 December 2022. Ofgem says a broker paid by an energy supplier must belong to an approved redress scheme. Our energy broker ombudsman page shows how to check the register yourself and how complaints work.

More detail is on Fidelity Energy's own website.

What Fidelity Energy can help with

Comparing and arranging electricity and gas contracts is the core service on this site, but Fidelity Energy's published services go further. Depending on your business, we can introduce you for:

  • Electricity and gas procurement: fixed-term contracts priced across Fidelity Energy's panel, for single sites through to multi-site estates. See business electricity comparison and business gas comparison
  • Flexible procurement: buying energy in stages over time rather than fixing it all at once, which Ofgem describes as suited to large energy users. See fixed vs flexible business energy
  • Green energy procurement: REGO-backed electricity and biomethane-certificate-backed green gas; Fidelity Energy says you can choose how much of your supply is covered. See green business energy
  • Bill validation: checking supplier bills against your contract and meter data
  • Energy management and reporting: Fidelity Energy's Etainabl platform puts every bill, meter and site in one place, and Fidelity Energy also lists half-hourly reporting, ESG and carbon reporting and tenant recharge
  • Meter and site services: smart meter installation, meter operator (MOP) contracts and energy audits

Fidelity Energy also lists water procurement, commercial solar, EV charging and voltage optimisation. Whether any of these suit you depends on your sites and usage, which is what the first conversation is for.

How a quote works, step by step

  1. Tell us what you have. A recent bill for each electricity and gas supply, your annual consumption if you know it, your current contract end date and your business details. Our business energy quotes page lists everything in one place.
  2. Fidelity Energy prices the panel. It asks the suppliers on its panel to quote for your supplies on the same basis, so you can compare like with like.
  3. We go through the options with you. Unit rates, standing charges, contract length, the type of contract, what happens at the end and the broker commission included in the price.
  4. You choose, or walk away. If none of the quotes suits you, you do not have to accept one. If one does, you accept it and the supplier runs its own checks.
  5. The contract is arranged. Fidelity Energy arranges the supply contract with the supplier you chose, and the new supplier handles the transfer from your old one. Our guide to switching business energy supplier covers the switch itself.

Timing matters more than most people expect. If your fixed contract is coming to an end, the business energy contract renewal guide explains the switching window, and why doing nothing can leave you on out-of-contract rates or a rollover.

How the broker is paid

Fidelity Energy's terms say its services carry no charges payable by you, with two exceptions (below). Instead it is normally paid commission by the supplier you choose, which Fidelity Energy sets as an uplift on the unit rate (pence per kWh) and/or the daily standing charge. That uplift is included in the prices you are quoted, so you pay it through your energy bills over the life of the contract.

The two exceptions are a contract cancellation fee (for example if you sign a supply contract and then do not go ahead), and paying Fidelity Energy by invoice instead of through an uplift, which you can choose at the start. Its terms also let it move to invoicing if a supplier stops paying the commission, without charging you twice.

Forever Communications is paid by Fidelity Energy, out of the commission Fidelity Energy receives. The broker costs appear in your contract's principal terms, and the supplier must give you this information if you ask. The full explanation, including how to estimate the total, is on our energy broker fees page.

How to check any business energy broker

Whether you use us or someone else, these checks take a few minutes and are worth doing before you agree anything:

  • Redress scheme membership. Ofgem says to check the Energy Ombudsman broker register or the Utilities Intermediaries Association (UIA) accredited member list. See our energy broker ombudsman page
  • Panel size. Ask how many suppliers the broker compares and whether that is every supplier or a selection
  • Commission. Ask how the broker is paid and how much commission is included, and check it against the principal terms
  • Who you are dealing with. A broker should not present itself as your supplier. The government's 2025 response on regulating brokers lists brokers misrepresenting themselves as suppliers as a problem in the business market
  • What happens at the end. Ask what the contract says about renewal, rollover and deemed rates if you move premises

Microbusinesses have extra protections under Ofgem's rules, explained in our microbusiness energy rules guide. For the wider picture, including the plan to make Ofgem the regulator of brokers, see energy broker regulation in the UK.

Why talk to Forever Communications

Forever Group already looks after phone systems, business mobiles and connectivity for UK businesses, and energy is another fixed cost that tends to roll on unchecked. By working as an agent of Fidelity Energy, we can put an independent broker's panel, procurement team and reporting tools in front of you, while you deal with people you may already know.

What we can do for you:

  • Gather your bills and supply details so the quotes are like-for-like
  • Help you time a renewal so you are not left choosing in the last few days
  • Help you move off deemed or out-of-contract rates
  • Explain the commission and the contract terms in plain words before you decide
  • Look at green (REGO-backed) options, multi-site estates and half-hourly supplies

Prices are set by the suppliers and confirmed at quote. Contact us with a recent bill and we can take it from there.

How Forever Communications helps with business energy

Forever Communications is part of Forever Group, which looks after phone systems, business mobiles and connectivity for UK organisations. For business electricity and gas, we work as an agent of Fidelity Energy, an independent business energy broker that prices your requirements across its panel of suppliers. We are not an energy supplier, and neither is Fidelity Energy.

  • Like-for-like quotes: we help you gather your bills, meter details and contract end dates so suppliers quote on the same basis
  • Plain-English terms: we can talk you through unit rates, standing charges, contract length, renewal and the broker commission included in the price before you decide
  • Better timing: we help you plan a renewal ahead of your contract end date, or move off deemed and out-of-contract rates
  • More than the basics: Fidelity Energy also offers green (REGO-backed) electricity, flexible procurement, half-hourly supplies, multi-site contracts and bill validation
  • Your choice: you decide which quote, if any, to accept; prices are set by the suppliers and confirmed at quote

We work with businesses, charities, hospitality, farms and multi-site organisations. Send us a recent bill and we can take it from there.

Frequently asked questions

Is Forever Communications an energy broker?

Forever Communications works as an agent of Fidelity Energy, an independent business energy broker. We introduce you, help gather your information and explain the options; Fidelity Energy prices its panel of suppliers and arranges and manages the supply contract you choose.

How many suppliers does Fidelity Energy compare?

Fidelity Energy says it works with a network of 24+ suppliers. That is its own figure. It is a panel, not every supplier in the market, so if you want a particular supplier included, tell us when you ask for a quote and we can check.

Do I pay to use a business energy broker?

Usually not directly. Fidelity Energy is normally paid commission by the supplier, built into your unit rates and/or standing charge. You can choose at the start to pay a fee by invoice instead, and a contract cancellation fee applies if you sign and then do not go ahead. See our energy broker fees page.

Is Fidelity Energy a member of the Energy Ombudsman?

Yes. Fidelity Energy is listed on the Energy Ombudsman's register of energy brokers, with membership active since 1 December 2022. You can check the register yourself through the Energy Ombudsman's website or the link on Ofgem's business energy pages.

Can I change my mind after accepting a quote?

Not without consequences. Ofgem says there is no cooling-off period once you agree a business energy contract, and Fidelity Energy's terms treat accepting a quote as a binding offer. Read the principal terms before you accept.

Is a broker better than going direct to a supplier?

Not always. Going direct can suit some businesses, and Ofgem notes the best option may be your current supplier. A broker saves you approaching suppliers one by one and can explain the terms, but its commission is included in the price, so compare on total cost.
